Inaugural NUHS WISH Lunch and Learn series: 3 SgWIS groups share the stage

NUHS WISH celebrated the launch of their “Lunch and Learn” series this August by inviting representatives from 3 Singapore women in Science organisations to share the stage.

Professor Sophia Archuleta represented National University Health System Women in Science and Healthcare (NUHS WISH), a group dedicated to empowering and support women in healthcare and science in the NUHS ecosystem. Professor Koh Woon Puay was there on behalf of the SingHealth Duke-NUS Women in Science Network (WinS), which acts as a platform to connect women working in academic medicine and science within the SingHealth DUKE-NUS community. SgWIS was represented by our very own, Dr. Vandana Ramachandran. You can learn more about each of these networks and others on our Singapore Women in Science Networks Page.

This Lunch and Learn series is an initiative from Sophia and NUHS WISH to engage the NUHS community and to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of past NUHS graduates. This was the first time that these 3 different Women In STEM organisations have come together. Our network believes we can only benefit from a collaborative approach to building the profile of women in science, technology and industry here in Singapore. We welcome anyone who is related to the STEM fields to sign up and be members of SgWIS as this network is open to all in Singapore (including men). Please do get in touch with us by email if you are hosting events focused on women in science, or would like to co-host an event with us!
